Donegal indie rock band The Ephades have big celebrations planned for the release of their third single on Letterkenny Pride weekend.
‘Giving Out’ is out on all streaming platforms on 2nd August and the band is buzzing to perform it live.
To celebrate the release, The Ephades are hitting the stage for two unmissable gigs: Thursday, 2nd August, 8pm: The Cottage Bar, Letterkenny (with support from The Stands and Sombre) and Friday, 3rd August, 7.30pm: The Brewery, Letterkenny (as part of Letterkenny Pride)
This talented group of 17-year-olds, Grace Murphy (vocals), Grace Nugent (bass), Kyle Warner (lead guitar and Cahir Doyle (drums), have been making waves in their hometowns of Letterkenny and Creeslough with their fresh sound. Further afield, they’ve played to fans in Dublin, Derry and Belfast.
Kyle and Cahir attend PCC in Falcarragh and the two Graces are both students of Loreto Letterkenny.
“Giving Out” promises to be a powerful and introspective track, exploring themes of self-preservation and impermanence.
“In many ways, the song holds a comforting quality, particularly in the verses with a soft vocal mirrored by the instrumentation however, the song comes to life as the underlying emotions are uncovered,” the band said.
The single artwork continues The Ephades’ unique tradition of showcasing Donegal’s hidden gems. This time, the hauntingly beautiful Doe Castle provides the backdrop, as it holds a special history that the members undoubtedly appreciate and the beautiful legends that are a part of its history prove a fitting face for this touching track.
