Mona McSharry has comfortably qualified for the semi-final of the 100m breaststroke at the Olympics in Paris.
The Sligo swimmer, who trains with Ballyshannon Marlins in Donegal, cruised to second place in her heat at La Défense.
McSharry set a strong time of 1:05.74, just behind heat winner and world champion Qianting Tang of China.
Mona will swim in her semi-final tonight at around 8:10pm Irish time, as she aims to reach an Olympic final.
