The annual Finn Harps Academy Golf Classic is returning next month, raising vital funds for the club’s academy.
The links at the Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club will host the event on Sunday, August 18th.
The annual Finn Harps Academy Golf Classic will take place on Sunday 18th August 2024 in Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club.
Entries are €100 per team, but there are a number of fantastic prizes up for grabs for those that enter including a round of golf and an overnight stay at the K Club in Kildare for the winners.
Other prizes on offer for participants will include a four ball at Newlands Cross Golf Club in Dublin, as well as a four ball at the Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy, Greencastle, Portsalon and Bundoran Golf Clubs.
The format of this year’s Golf Classic will be a Champagne Classic with Stableford Points scoring for teams of four.

The club extended its thanks to their main sponsors who are already supporting this year’s event; Lafferty’s Buses, Joseph McMenamin & Sons, G.Browne Tool Hire, McNulty’s Mace and Marley’s Coaches.
James Rodgers, the Academy Chairman said in a statement launching the golf classic that “the event is a very important fundraiser for the Academy as it allows us to support all of the young players in our Development Squads and in our National League teams. The Academy consists of three development squads, and four national league teams boy’s squads.”
Speaking at the launch, Aisling Dignam, Administrator of the Academy stated that “the Golf Classic is an integral part of the Academy’s fundraising programme. We sincerely thank the Ballybofey & Stranorlar Golf Club for hosting this event each year. We appreciate the way the event is supported by golfers throughout the county and the fantastic support shown by the commercial sector in sponsoring the event.”
