Gardaí have confirmed they arrested and charged a man as part of an investigation into a serious assault which occurred in Ballyshannon last year.
The incident took place at a premises in the town on Saturday, 6th May 2023.
The man, aged in his 40s, has since been charged and appeared before Tubbercurry District Court yesterday morning.
“As this matter is now before the courts, An Garda Síochána is not in a position to comment further at this time,” a garda spokesperson said.
