Superstar singer Daniel bought the Viking House Hotel in 1993 and it soon turned into a popular destination for fans from all over the world.

O’Donnell’s late sister Kathleen and her husband John Doogan ran the business, which was sold in the 2000’s to the Carey family from the Midlands who continued to run a very successful hotel.

The 14-bedroom hotel changed hands again in 2021 when it was taken over by Colm Bonner. Most recently, the residence housed refugees from Ukraine.

Now back on the market, the property is being promoted by agents DNG Boyce Gallagher as a “rare opportunity to own and manage a thriving and much needed hotel that will cater for the many visitors that Donegal attracts throughout the year.”
