A massive crowd of farmers and their families gathered at the farm of Gareth and Dawn Porter in Castlefinn (pictured) for a social evening on Friday night. Over 400 people attended the event, which was hailed as a huge success.
Donegal IFA Chairman Joe Sweeney welcomed the attendees and spoke about the importance of farm safety, particularly as IFA’s National Farm Safety Week approaches.
The event also served as a fundraiser for Donegal Hospice, with prizes donated by local businesses being raffled off. A total of €6,700 was raised on the day.
“A huge thank you to all who attended and organised this hugely successful evening,” said a Donegal IFA spokesperson.
