She had to wait an extra day, but clearly time is no limitation for 92-year-old Kay Sinclair.
The Donegal Town woman was insistent on making a daring charity skydive in honour of her late son, Michael who passed away in 1987.
Her “Skydive for Life” in aid of Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland and their “Let’s Talk” programme was set to take place on Saturday, but high winds in the dive area in Offaly meant she had to wait an extra day for her incredible stunt.
One day after the 37th anniversary of the passing of Michael, Kay was able to achieve her dream with the help of the Irish Parachute Club today.
Along with instructor Coleman Brouder from the parachute club, Kay dived from 15,000 feet in the air, and made a safe landing after an incredible airborne experience.
In doing so, she has also raised an unbelievable €18,242 at the time of writing through her dive for Youth Suicide Prevention Ireland, all in honour of her beloved son.
