Gardai have confirmed they are investigating a fire at a building in Convoy amidst reports that it was to be used to house asylum seekers.
It’s understood that a piece of machinery was set alight during the incident which took place yesterday morning.
A garda spokesperson said the fire was brought under control by fire services and that no injuries have been reported.
