British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as a new Donegal GAA jersey to add to his collection.
The Labour Party leader was first spotted wearing a Donegal shirt while playing five-a-side football in 2021.
He later revealed he and his wife Victoria honeymooned in Donegal following their wedding in 2007.
In fact, he revealed he “fell in love with the place”.
He was pictured playing soccer while wearing the Donegal jersey with the GAA logo.
“Finally back in training. Still got a few months before Gareth Southgate announces the squad for the Euros,” he joked.
When asked about the background to the jersey, the British Prime Minister replied “After I worked in Northern Ireland for five years, my wife and I flew over to Belfast on our honeymoon and drove around the whole Island of Ireland.
“As we drove over the border to Donegal, we fell in love with the place and decided to stay a few days there.
“While there, I picked up a Donegal shirt and have been wearing it ever since.”
And he has has two in his collection after Taoiseach Simon Harris yesterday presented him with an official Donegal GAA jersey.
Keir Starmer returned the compliment by gifting the Taoiseach a Downing Street whiskey decanter set.
