A young singer-songwriter from West Donegal is back with his brand new single ‘Miss You’, a song that explores the complex emotions of a love lost.
Eoin Ferry, 18, has put a catchy twist on the typical break-up song and created a dance track of mixed emotions.
Fresh out of his Leaving Cert at Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair, Eoin is turning his focus to studying music.
His musical journey began at an early stage, studying piano with DMEP since the age of six.
Growing up in Gaoth Dobhair, he was surrounded by music legends and participated in school workshops led by artists like Moya Brennan and Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh.
Eoin won the senior category of Scléip, a national competition for Irish-speaking schools, for three consecutive years, culminating in the prestigious Gradam Scléip overall win in 2024. He has also been a member of An Crann Óg under the direction of Caitlín Ní Churrain and the Donegal Youth Choir under Sara Laughlin.
Next year he hopes to study music in college. either in teacher training college or as part of a BA degree.
Eoin honed his performance skills at Moya Brennan’s Clubeo nights in Leo’s Tavern and went on to record ‘Miss You’ with Moya’s son, Paul Jarvis. The song was mixed by Paul’s sister, Aisling Jarvis and mastered by Peter Montgomery.

“I am delighted with how it has turned out,” Eoin said.
“‘Miss You’ is the second song that I have released and is much more upbeat than my first single. The song is about being in love with someone and suddenly realising that they have moved on from you and starting a new life without you. Looking back on all of the memories you have together not knowing whether to feel sadness, anger or regret, or to look back on those memories with joy and gratitude.”
