Donegal county councillor Ciaran Brogan is the new chair of the HSE Regional Health Forum West.
The Letterkenny-based Fianna Fáil councillor was elected to the position at the AGM in Galway this afternoon. Mayo Councillor Michael Kilcoyne was elected as Vice Chair.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle held the position of Chair in 2022/23.
The forum brings together councillors from across the west-northwest region and senior HSE officials to discuss matters of public health.
It covers Donegal, Limerick, Galway, Clare, Leitrim, Mayo, North Tipperary, Roscommon and Sligo.
