A group of locals in Rathmullan have been given a “seal” of approval after their fantastic efforts in saving a baby seal.
The little pup washed up on a beach in the seaside town yesterday.
A visitor to Rathmullan, named Molly, spotted the little pup very clearly out of its habitat on the beach which is across from the abbey in the town.
Locals were able to help the seal pup out and get her in the hands of Seal Rescue Ireland, who took her to their rehabilitation centre in Wexford.
The pup was also named Molly, after the perceptive visitor who spotted the seal and raised the alarm.
Seals of approval all round, Rathmullan.
