Many Donegal fans have now started their journeys south ahead of today’s hotly anticipated All-Ireland Football Semi-Final.
It’s been estimated that anywhere between 20,000 and 30,000 Donegal fans are making the trip to Croke Park this afternoon.
Football fever has well and truly returned to the county, after the improbable return of Jim McGuinness, and the even more improbable run of results Donegal have secured in a season many saw as a rebuilding project.
With an Ulster title in hand, Jim’s men will battle against a hungry Galway side who are off the backs of a phenomenal victory over perennial favourites Dublin.
The winners of today’s game will play a fired-up Armagh side who put in a gutsy performance to topple the mighty Kerry yesterday in the other Semi-Final contest.
Throw-in at Croke Park is at 4pm, with the game also being shown live on RTE 2 and BBC 2 NI.
