There has been widespread shock in the sporting community in County Louth, after the death of a young girl during a soccer match.
A 13-year-old girl died after what has been described as a “tragic medical incident” during a Louth School Girls League match last night.
She was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda by ambulance, but unfortunately passed away.
The North Eastern Football League has called off all of its fixtures as a mark of respect to the young lady.
