A deceased whale that washed ashore in Killult, Falcarragh, this week has been safely removed following a swift operation coordinated by Donegal County Council.
The whale was first reported on Wednesday and had unfortunately passed away.
Cllr Michael Mc Clafferty confirmed that the whale’s remains were “disposed of through the correct channels,” ensuring an environmentally responsible process.
“Thank you to everyone involved,” said Cllr Mc Clafferty, expressing his gratitude to Donegal County Council for their prompt action and to the contractors who carried out the removal.
