A local councillor has raised concerns over pedestrian and traffic safety outside a well-known GAA facility in the east of the county.
Recently elected Sinn Fein representative, Cllr Dakota NicMheanman, is asking Donegal County Council conduct a review of road conditions at the Setanta hurling grounds, Crossroads, Killygordon.
She will raise the matter in a motion to tomorrow’s meeting of the Lifford-Stranorlar Municipal District.
“There are children who approach the GAA grounds on foot and it is not safe and there is an exposed soft verge,” her motion read.
“I am asking that the council review the area and expedite footpath works and also advise on safety measures for the verge.”
