Donegal County Council has announced that resurfacing works are set to begin on the L-1134-1 Kiltoy Road in Letterkenny from Monday, 24th June.
The project will focus on the stretch between the R245 Ramelton Road and the turnoff for Aughaninshin Abbey.
The project will be completed in three phases to minimise disruption for motorists.
Phase 1 (Monday & Tuesday): Closures will be in place from the R245 to the entrance of Alcorns Flower and Garden Centre. Traffic will be diverted via the R245/N56 route.
Phase 2 & 3 (Wednesday-Friday): A stop-and-go system with temporary traffic management will be implemented for the remaining sections. Local access will be maintained during these phases.
“Motorists should allow extra time for their journey if they are using this route,” a spokesperson said.
