The Department of Education has announced a major extension for Gairmscoil Chú Uladh which sees three new state of the art classrooms going to construction.
The extension will consist of a new Home Economics room, a new Music room and a Metalwork room. The addition of Metalwork as an additional subject area enhances the capacity of the school to cater for a wider subject range into the fields of engineering and technology.
School Principal Ciarán Mac Ruaidhrí thanked all those involved since the initial application was made: “A huge thanks to our previous Deputy Principal Paraicín Ní Fhaoláin who was instrumental in the application process, to our Board of Management and to the Building Department of Donegal ETB for all their help. These modern state of the art facilities will allow us to continue to provide the best possible education for all our students.”
Situated in the scenic surroundings of Béal an Átha Móir, Gairmscoil Chú Uladh has been providing quality Gaeltacht education through the medium of Irish for children of the Gaeltacht Láir and beyond for the past forty years.
