There are two new faces on Donegal County Council in the Donegal Electoral Area.
Michael Naughton of Fianna Fail topped the poll but had to wait until the eight count to be announced as the first candidate across the line.
He was followed on the tenth count by Sinn Fein’s Noel Jordan.
Newcomers Jimmy Brogan (Ind) and Manus Boyle of Fine Gael were then elected on the eleventh count and will take their place at county house in Lifford in the coming days.
They were joined on the eleventh count by sitting councillors Niamh Kennedy (Ind) and Michael McMahon of Sinn Fein.
Sitting councillor Barry Sweeny of Fine Gael was the biggest casualty as he lost his seat.
