Independent candidate Kevin Bradley has been eliminated from the Letterkenny Electoral Area contest.
The bakery owner put up a huge fight but was eventually ousted on Count 12.
It follows a huge struggle with Aontu candidate Mary T Sweeney which saw both call for recounts.
However, Returning Officer Seamus Canning has just announced that Mr Bradley has been eliminated.
His vote of 1,008 ballots will now be distributed to the remaining candidates.
