Donegal athlete Kelly McGrory is out of the European Athletics Championships, but gave it her all in her 400m hurdles heat race.
She finished 7th in her heat this morning at the Olympic Stadium in Rome.
However McGrory had plenty to be proud about with her performance, producing a personal best time of 57.1s in a highly competitive heat won by Czechia’s Nikoleta Jichova.
The Tír Chonaill AC runner gave a good account of herself on what is sure to be her first trip of many to the European Championships.
