Dunfanaghy’s well-known Willows B&B on Main Street could be set for a major transformation.
Plans have been submitted to Donegal County Council to demolish the existing guesthouse at the top of the seaside town, making way for a modern three-storey apartment complex.
Visitors can still experience the hospitality of the Willows as it remains currently open and is available to book for stays while the planning application is being considered.
The new proposed complex will feature four apartments across duplex units with two self-catering apartments on the ground floor and two on the first and second floors respectively.
In addition to the apartments themselves, the development would include revised car parking facilities, stepped and ramped access from the parking area to the new building and new connections to existing utilities, including an on-site pre-treatment wastewater system.
