There was disappointment for Mark English at the European Athletics Championships in Rome this morning.
The Finn Valley AC athlete bowed out following a 5th place finish (1:46.73) in the second of the 800m heats.
Speaking after the event, he said: “This year was always about qualifying for Paris, so I’m going to get back to that now.”
Kelly McGrory of Tir Chonaill AC will compete in the women’s 400m hurdles on Sunday and is also in the Women’s 4x400m Relay which is held on Tuesday.
