Over 200 runners took part in the annual Aurivo Killygordon 5k race yesterday evening, raising money for a great cause.
On a cool and windy evening, conditions were great to set some fast times and raise money for charity.
The 5k’s chosen charity for this year is The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, raising money for those affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
PJ Doogan from Rosses AC crossed the line first in a rapid time of 15:11, ahead of Rosses AC clubmate Charlie O’Donnell in second place and Shea Carlin from Finn Valley AC in third.
Leoni Cooke was the winner of the women’s race, followed home closely by Helen McCready of Rosses AC, and Finn Valley’s Maggie Ohara completed the podium finishers.
Congrats to all who took part in the event.
Thanks to Clive Wasson Photography for these great photos from the event.
