Residents of Fahan are invited to attend a public meeting of Fahan Residents Association to form a new committee and tackle the issues which are affecting the village.
The meeting takes place in the Fowler Hall, Tooban at 7.30 pm Monday, June 17 and everyone is welcome.
The idea is to create a stronger sense of community and give residents the opportunity to voice their concerns about
things they see as problematic and might be improved.
The Fahan Residents Association is part of the Fahan Community Development Partnership CLG which is also the parent group of Fahan Heritage Committee where work continues to put in place protection for the 1,400 year-old St Mura’s Cross.
If not interested in going on a committee, but would be willing to give a few hours a year to help make the village better, please come along and give your name and views.
Issues which the residents group wish to address include: Traffic, speed and crossings: Litter and clean-ups: Future development of village: The Greenway: Development at the marina: Possible Tidy Towns involvement: Lough Swilly water quality and Blue Flag losses.
Representatives from any of the village’s residents committees are invited to come along and see how we can all work in a mutually beneficial way.
