Otway Golf Club was established in 1893 and is one of the five oldest courses in Ireland.
More than 130 years later and it’s never been in better shape as shown by a record entry in the annual 3-ball scramble.
A total of 28 teams entered last weekend’s competition, with the sun shining on the spectacular views over Lough Swilly.
The fairways and greens were in first class condition for the competition sponsored once again by Kernans – with Irwin Expert Electrical & Ronhill sponsoring the raffle.
There was some fantastic golf played on the day and a great display by the scratch and low handicappers who won the competition outright. They put on a fine display of golf on the back 9 with 7 birdies. Congratulations to all the winners on the day.
