The Silver Tassie Hotel buzzed with positive energy on Sunday as the “Self-Care with Claire” wellness fair made its return.
Led by mindfulness and meditation enthusiast Claire Coughlan, the initiative raised over €1,500 in support of Newtowncunningham woman Olivia Robb, who is battling Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
Building on the success of its 2023 debut, Claire’s event empowered attendees to prioritize their well-being. Over 30 Donegal businesses showcased their health, fitness and holistic offerings, providing valuable resources to combat anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.

Mirroring a wedding fair, guests browsed stalls and enjoyed informative talks from local wellness advocates and counsellors.
The event also featured a raffle brimming with exciting prizes generously donated by participating businesses.
Claire has expressed her gratitude to everyone who participated in the successful self-care and wellness event. This includes speakers, businesses, attendees, the venue (Silver Tassie Hotel), the hosts (Sarah Terry-Sweeney and Michael Brennan), and additional supporters (V & M podcasters Vinny McLaughlin and Marty Brogan).
All proceeds will go directly to supporting Olivia, a dear friend and colleague of Claire’s from Penneys Letterkenny.
