Vote Peadar Tóibín #1 for Europe
LIFE, UNITY AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE – PEADAR TÓIBÍN
Founder and leader of Aontú, Peadar Tóibín is an EU Candidate for the Midlands North West.
Deputy Peadar Tóibín is one of the hardest working public representatives in the country.
He is recognised as being a strong, fearless and consistent voice for the people of Ireland.
He is a person of real conviction and common sense.
He is the founder and Chair of the National Hospital Campaign, fighting for reform, accountability, and decent pay and conditions for health care workers.
He was the first to raise the collapse in Garda numbers that is now leading to the spike in crime and tragic road deaths.
Peadar has introduced several Bills, such as the Equitable Beef Pricing Bill to create to guaranteed price for farm produce.
Ireland is becoming a ‘city state’ and Dublin is overheating. Yet a third of the country is living in ‘commuter hell’ and rural areas are losing their young people.
Much of the Midlands North West region is being neglected when it comes to income and investment.
Aontú seeks strategic and targeted investment to rebalance our country.
Aontú wants to tackle housing vacancy, bring home construction workers, improve conditions for apprentices, increase the number of planners and providing funding for housing building.
In the recent Referenda, Aontú was the only party to stand with the people against every other Dáil party
Aontú was the party that opposed the Climate Change Bill and its extra costs on families and farmers.
Aontú opposed the censorship contained in the Hate Speech Bill while the majority of the opposition supported the Government.
Only Aontú sought a respectful debate and common sense response to immigration.
Only Aontú sought a full public investigation with statutory powers into what happened to our vulnerable older people during the Covid crisis.
“We’re not just the best organised opposition to this Government, we are often the only real opposition holding this Government to account”.
Returning two FG MEPs in this region would offer no change whatsoever and would instead reward the shocking mismanagement of resources and lack of accountability.
