Gardaí have issued an alert over reports of men calling to the homes of elderly people and visiting retail car parks in the Buncrana area today offering to sell power tools and generators.
They have asked members of the public to take note of any vehicles/callers in your area that appear suspicious.
“Do not buy items from these callers/sellers,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Please advise elderly or vulnerable family members, neighbours and friends. This type of activity should be reported to your local 24/7 Garda Station immediately.”
