A Letterkenny-based Medical student has been awarded the esteemed ‘Vinnie Krishnan Award for Excellence in Emergency Medicine’.
Liam Orr, who is a student of the University of Galway, was honoured for his exceptional skill and dedication.
Liam is a former student of Loreto Milford and a recipient of the Optum Scholarship in 2019.
He was surrounded by a supportive circle of consultants and registrars in Emergency Medicine at LUH upon receipt of his award last week.

The award remembers Dr. Vinnie Krishnan of Raphoe and formerly of Durban, South Africa. Dr Krishnan was a respected doctor in Letterkenny University Hospital and passed suddenly in 2019.
