The sun may be out, but the weather is expected to take a turn this evening with a yellow thunderstorm warning from 3pm to 9pm.
Met Éireann has issued the alert for Donegal, Clare, Kerry, Galway, Mayo and Sligo.
The warning advises of localized thunderstorms with heavy downpours that could lead to spot flooding, difficult travel conditions, and poor visibility.
Today will see warm temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.
Conditions are expected to dry up later tonight: “Becoming dry with long clear spells for most with just isolated showers for tonight. Mist and fog will form overnight. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees in light northeasterly or variable breezes,” said Met Eireann.
