Sessiaghoneill National School, Ballybofey, will next month celebrate its 75th anniversary with a bumper draw with €16,000 in prizes.
On June Bank Holiday weekend, they will also mark their rich history with reunion of sorts in the Twin Towns.
The huge draw, with a top prize of €10,000, will take place on Sunday, June 2, at 9pm in the Pyramid Suite of Jackson’s Hotel. Other prizes include a €1,500 Holiday Voucher, an electric bike (worth €1,400), an iPhone 15, €1,000 cash as well as two cash prizes of €500.
Over the weekend, old photos and roll books will also be on display in the school.
On the Saturday, past pupils will provide music and dancing while, on Sunday, a celebratory Mass will take place at 11am next door in St Mary’s Church.
At 9pm, the big draw will get underway followed by entertainment with The David Craig Band and DJ Roly.
