Inspirational Donegal boy Cameron White will be laid to rest following his funeral this Tuesday.
Cameron, the beloved son of Robert and Vienna White from Roughan, Newmills, passed away suddenly at Crumlin Children’s Hospital last Friday following a tough battle with Leukaemia.
In his brief life, the 13-year-old brought joy and love to everyone who knew him. He was a bright light in his sports clubs, school, and home.
A first year student at the Royal and Prior in Raphoe, Cameron was an avid hockey and badminton player.
As a mark of respect the school will close tomorrow Tuesday 14th of May.
“Cameron was a much loved member of our school community held in high regard by his teachers and peers,” said a statement from the school community.
“As a school community we express our deepest condolences to all those mourning at this time, especially Cameron’s family.”
Students and parents will line the route towards Gortlee Cemetery following the funeral service, which takes place at 2pm, at Conwal Parish Church.
“Cameron was that role model kid that everyone loved. He was a coach’s dream as his manner, attitude and passion was on another level,” said a tribute from Raphoe Hockey Club.
“He came in every night with a smile on his face and never left without a thank you. He was a man that always represented his club with pride and we were so proud of him,” said a heartfelt message from Raphoe Badminton Club.
