New figures released today show that County Donegal has the second-highest amount of Ukrainian refugees in the state.
The report in today’s Irish Independent shows that Donegal is only second to Kerry in numbers of Ukrainian refugees being accommodated nationwide, with 3,956 located here.
Donegal also had the third-highest total number of International Protection applicants overall in the state, with 5,869 currently residing in the county – only behind Kerry and South Dublin.
The figures do not include international protection applicants who are currently homeless, in gifted accommodation, or personally privately renting accommodation.
