A team of brave souls from McDonald’s Letterkenny took the plunge off Smithfield Chimney in Dublin last Friday to raise an amazing €3,500 for Ronald McDonald House.
Abseiling 190ft down one of Dublin’s most iconic landmarks is no easy feat, but the team embraced the challenge to help families in need.
John McNamara, Franchisee Supervisor at McDonald’s Letterkenny, said he was immensely proud of his colleagues for taking part in the event: “RMHC is an incredible organisation, and we are thrilled to have been able to support them and their fundraising efforts. The money raised from the event will make a tangible difference to the families that need RMHC most, and we were only too happy to do our bit. Huge well done to everyone who conquered the drop!”
All money raised through the charity abseil goes to directly to RMHC Ireland, supporting its vital work to provide accommodation and a caring and supportive environment for families whose children are seriously ill and are hospitalised or undergoing medical treatment at Children’s Health Ireland, Crumlin.
