Liam Neeson’s Donegal-based action thriller can be watched on Netflix from today.
‘In the Land of Saints and Sinners’ is set to top the streaming charts.
The thriller, starring Oscar nominees Neeson and Kerry Condon, was shot in Spring 2022 over a seven week period, mainly in Glen, but also in Kilcar, Killybegs and Ardara.
Set in a rural Irish village, the adventure film tells the story of a retired assassin, Finbar (Neeson), who is forced into a game of cat and mouse with three terrorists. A damaged Finbar is forced to fight for redemption after a lifetime of sins. The question is, what price is he willing to pay, as he finds himself drawn into a lethal game of cat and mouse.
The starry cast also includes Colm Meaney (Star Trek: The Next Generation), Oscar-nominee Ciaran Hinds (Belfast), Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones), Desmond Eastwood (Normal People) and Sarah Greene (Bad Sisters).
‘In the Land of Saints and Sinners’ world premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival before launching in US cinemas on 29th March.
And if you’re after even more drama filmed in Donegal, the series ‘Obituary’, shot in Ballyshannon, launches on Netflix on 1st May!
