Letterkenny AC’s Ann-Marie McGlynn dominated the 34th Spar Omagh half marathon at the weekend to win in a superb time of 1:15:26.
Other LAC members who participated include Michael Harkin who ran 1:24:32, Mark Nee who ran 1:34:08, Derek Campbell ran 1:34:58, Gary Kearns ran 1:39:50, Mark McFadden ran 1:40:23, Graeme Michie ran 1:47:55 and Martin O’Donnell who ran 1:50:03.
At the Hugh Gallagher memorial race in Milford Philip McHugh ran an excellent time of 15:54. Well done Philip.

Three LAC athletes made the journey to London last weekend to participate in the marathon. Paul Cullen crossed the line in an excellent time of 2:39:48, Aidan McKenna ran 3:16::21 while Darren Beecroft ran 3:41:52.
Congratulations to Claire McGuigan who won the women’s race at the Larne 10 miler in a time of 60.48. On a day of wind and rain it was a comprehensive victory with the 2nd place finisher Elisoa Crawford finishing in 63.51
Congratulations to Donal Farren who ran a fantastic time of 14.59 at the IUAA Track and Field championships.
Last week Errigal College hosted its annual 5km road race.

LAC meets Tuesday 5.15pm and at 6.30pm for an interval running session, Thursday evening for a hill run at 6pm, Saturday morning at 9.30am for a tempo run and Sunday morning at 8am for a long run.
All runs start at the Aura. All levels catered for and encouraged.
Fit 4 Life which is run by LAC in conjunction with the Donegal Sports Partnership takes place every Monday at 5.45pm on the track at the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny.
The aim of the programme is to reach out to those who wish to improve their fitness and all are most welcome any Monday they choose to attend.
Fit 4 Life is not about speed but fitness and the coaches from LAC particularly welcome newcomers.
