A day of celebration, music and play was had at the official opening of Seirbhísí Luathbhlianta agus Iarscoile na mBeachóg last Friday.
The new Early Years and Childcare services include preschool 9-12pm and part-time service 9-2pm and afterschool service 2-6pm.
These services are based on the grounds of S. N. Mhín Tine Dé since September last and are strengthening the Irish language, culture, and heritage in Ardara.
At the opening, the team expressed gratitude to S.N. Mhín Tine Dé for providing a wonderful building and grounds to ‘Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta’ to establish high quality services in Ardara.
The services are invaluable to this rural primary school as parents can now drop off their children in the morning and there is an excellent service through the medium of the Irish language available to them until 6pm.
Great pride has been shared for S. N. Mhín Tine Dé who received recognition as a ‘Gaeltacht School’ last year and the school community was delighted with the excellent report received. Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta are very pleased to be collaborating with S. N. Mhín Tine Dé strengthening the Irish language in the Ardara area.
“Irish is the greatest gift you can give your child,” they said.
