The Donegal IPSCA centre is assisting in the search for a new home for a herd of friendly pigs.
The pigs, believed to be KuneKune/pot-bellied crosses, must be homed in the company of other pigs, due to their social nature.
The appeal seeks adopters with some knowledge of pig-keeping, suitable facilities, and a pig herd number.
“While pigs like human interaction, they should have the company of other pigs for enrichment, mental and physical stimulation,” the charity says.
“We would recommend an acre for 2 – 4 pigs and it may be beneficial to divide the land. Secure fencing is a must.
“If you could offer some of these adorable pigs a new home, please email us today for more information at rehoming@ispca.ie or call 087 995 0458.”
