A coffee fundraiser at The Craoibhin Community Enterprise Centre in Termon yesterday was a resounding success, with a total of €2,421.70 raised.
The event, organized by the North West 10k charities to celebrate World Health Day, drew a large crowd from the local community.
Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of coffee, tea, and treats while learning valuable life-saving skills from local organisations and the the Kilmacrennan Termon Gartan Churchill Trentagh Community First Responders Group.
Attendees participated in demonstrations on infant choking first aid, CPR, and defibrillation. Additionally, free blood pressure checks were offered to those in attendance.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who came out in support of the event. A special thank you was extended to friends, family, and the entire Termon community for their enthusiasm and dedication. The sponsors of the event were also recognised for their generosity.
Appreciation was given to Majella and the staff at The Craoibhin Community Enterprise Centre for their continued support in hosting the event. A heartfelt thank you was also directed to the many volunteers whose contributions made the coffee morning a success. From baking delicious treats to providing unique displays like rally cars, buggies, and emergency vehicles, every effort was acknowledged.
Funds raised will be directed to the three charities of the North West 10K 2024 – the Kilmacrennan, Termon, Gartan, Churchill and Trentagh Community First Responders, Cara House Family Resource Centre and the Letterkenny Community Childcare Centre.
Volunteers of the Kilmacrennan Termon Gartan Churchill Trentagh CFR Group are currently undergoing weekly training to be prepared to respond to emergencies such as cardiac arrest, choking, chest pain, and strokes.
