The Department of Social Protection, in collaboration with The Department for Communities, Northern Ireland and the Cross-Border Partnership for Employment Services, is inviting employers and jobseekers to participate in the North West Cross Border Jobs Expo 2024, which will be held in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal on the 24th April 2024 from 10am – 3pm.
The initiative was recently welcomed by Councillor Kevin Bradley, Mayor of the Letterkenny-Milford Municipal District saying “this is a great initiative as jobs are essential to the continued economic development of the north-west” as he met with the organising team.
The aim of the Jobs Expo is to provide a showcase of available jobs and training in the north-west and is intended for job seekers, employers, returners and other interested in work and training in the area. The initiative reflects the collaboration between the two departments, through the Cross Border Partnership for Employment Service, and their shared commitment to support jobs mobility in the border counties.
The Jobs Expo is free to jobseekers from both jurisdictions, from entry-level to experienced professionals, graduates to job changers, who are encouraged to take advantage of the chance to meet face-to-face with hiring managers, submit CVs, and learn about wealth of career opportunities across various industries.
Employers attending include Houston Engineering, Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Road Team, Cherrymore Kitchens, EBS Building Society and Boyle Construction, with a few stands still available to employers who want to join the free event.
