The Mayor of Donegal Town is set to run in the upcoming local Council elections in the Donegal LEA.
Pauric Kennedy will be running as an independent candidate.
He announced his candidacy in a statement yesterday.
“After a lot of positive encouragement from my family and many members of the community, I have decided to put my name forward as an independent candidate in the upcoming local elections,” Kennedy said.
“Since 2018 I have been working tirelessly as Mayor of Donegal Town to support the community and promote the county in any way I can. I have been involved with many projects including the St Patrick’s Day parade, the improvements on the pier, the footpath and ground works on the Killymard road, the drainage and resurfacing of the Abbey Vocational School pitch, many community clean ups, and more recently the 550 years celebrations which are ongoing.”
“I hope I can rely on your support to ensure that I can provide a much needed voice for the people of Donegal.”
