Safety works are underway at the Keelogs junction in Churchill following calls for much-needed accident prevention measures.
The junction has seen several crashes in recent years and is a busy spot where parents drop off and pick up schoolchildren.
Cllr Donal ‘Mandy’ Kelly, who has been pushing for improved safety measures, has praised Donegal County Council for taking action this week.
“It’s great to have the Council men out this week at Keeloges Junction in Churchill installing safety measures for all residents and road users,” Cllr Kelly said.
“Safety embankment works are well underway with the view of having all signage erected and completed next week.
“Traffic calming measures are in place as works continue.”
