A brave Donegal teacher has successfully climbed Croagh Patrick barefoot in aid of a worthy children’s charity.
Mr Even Devenney, who teaches science at Deele College, took on the iconic Mayo mountain on St Patrick’s weekend to raise much needed cash for BUMBLEance, the Children’s Ambulance Service of Ireland.

BUMBLEance helps young sick children to have comfortable transport from rural areas in Ireland, including Donegal, to help get them to their treatments in hospitals – which is often a long journey.
Mr Devenney said all funds donated go directly to The Saoirse Foundation (Registered Charity Number: 20075163), which runs the BUMBLEance services around Ireland.
Well done Evan!
