Gardaí in Ballyshannon, Bundoran and Donegal town will be conducting extra checkpoints and speed checks over the busy St. Patrick’s Bank Holiday Weekend.
Starting today, the operation will focus on the five key lifesaver offences of:
- Driving under the influence
- Speed
- Non wearing of Seat Belts
- Mobile Phone use
- Dangerous Driving
“We are urging all road users to act responsibly, make responsible safety decisions on St Patrick’s Day and over the course of the weekend,” a garda spokesperson said.
