Séimi Ó Dubhthaigh has been named as the Labour candidate in the upcoming Council elections in the Glenties Municipal District.
He is taking the mantle of being Labour’s candidate in the area from the long-standing Labour rep Seamus Rodgers.
In a statement, Séimi said that “I feel both honoured and privileged to be asked by Séamus Rodgers to take over from him in this year’s local election in the Glenties EA. I have the big boots of this political and community giant to fill, a mighty task, but I’m ready and willing to carry on his socialist legacy.”
“On Tuesday 19th March at 7.30pm in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties, I will go before the Labour Party selection convention to be officially selected. This meeting is open to the general public. Bigí Linn”
