Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow ice warning for Donegal and the rest of the country.
The alert comes into effect from 6pm this evening until 9am tomorrow.
The meteorological service is warning of potentially hazardous travelling conditions.
Motorists are being urged to take extra care for icy stretches on untreated surfaces and poor visibility.
Overnight snow impacted a number of roads around Donegal this morning, particularly on higher ground.
