A flight from Dublin to Donegal Airport had to abort landing last night due to weather.
The EI3408 flight, which left Dublin Airport at 6.50pm, was forced to circle Donegal airport up to ten times from 7.20pm.
After 40 minutes in the air over Carrickfinn, as airport staff attempted to clear the runway, the pilot eventually returned to Dublin.
Passengers were provided with accommodation in an airport hotel.
Today’s morning flight from Dublin is scheduled to depart at 11.40am as normal.
