A luxury Donegal home complete with its own swimming pool and stretching to 6,000 square feet has been halved in price after it was discovered it contains MICA.

Carraig Ard is a stunning property sitting high above Burt overlooking Inch Island and Lough Swilly.

But the discovery of deleterious materials in the home has left estate agents to drop the price to €450,000.

That price also includes two adjoining sites of .7 acres each.

The architect designed home, set on 2.54 acres, was completed in 2013.

It is being sold by local estate agents Raineys.

The agent has warned that a survey has been carried on the building and there is a HIGH risk to deterioration from potential freeze-thaw damage. The concrete should be considered as displaying NEGLIGIBLE Risk to deterioration from sulphide degradation.
