People have expressed outrage at racist stickers being placed on poles around the centre of Buncrana today.
Dozens of the stickers have appeared on signposts and walls displaying the ‘Ireland is Full’ slogan.
One woman who came across the stickers was so outraged that she removed some of them with her bare hands.
“These vandalism stickers have been placed all around Buncrana town centre today, on the Main Street and St Mary’s Road,” she said.
“This displays a growing racist and xenophobic sentiment and this behaviour needs to be urgently and actively condemned by TDs and the local media. We observed several people removing these stickers at lunchtime today.”
The town has been the centre of a number of racist arson attacks on buildings that were designated for Ukrainian refugees and International Protection Applicants (IPAs).
